We Believe

WE BELIEVE

Brian's Christmas work party is always geared towards family. There is always a special visitor that comes to the party. His name happens to be Santa Claus. Kenner could not wait to sit on Santa's lap. Kenner is at the age where the Christmas tradition really starts to become quite fun. We would ask him what he wants Santa to bring him. His reply was always "books". When the opportunity came to sit on his lap we were so carried away with taking pictures that we never got to tell Santa what Kenner wanted. As we started to clean up the party and gather things to go home Kenner saw that Santa was still there and then he remembered. He never told Santa what he wanted. We ran to catch up with Santa and he was kind enough to sit down and let Kenner crawl back up. To our surprise, Kenner did not ask for books this time. He asked for a....Helicopter. That was new. It was so nice of Santa to put in Kenner's quite immaginative head that he wants a REAL helicopter. Oh boy. Thank You Santa. Nonetheless, Kenner was very pleased that he was able to get his request in with the "big man in red". I was waiting for Santa to tell Kenner "You'll shoot your eye out kid", but he didn't.

Kameron LOVED Santa. For some reason he just doesn't get scared with that sort of thing. He grind and I believe he even tugged at his beared a little.

Santa's Coming!!!

Every second Saturday of December since we've lived here Santa Claus comes by via fire truck. He throws a bag of candy to all the good boys and girls and wishes us all a Merry Christmas. Kenner's first experience of this two years ago was a memorable one. He screamed and cried and wanted far away from Santa.

Last year Kenner got to share the experience with some neighbors while I was with Great Grandpa. This year Kenner was so ready for it. He woke up and looked out his window immediately. The fire station is directly in back of our house so he was able to see Santa getting ready to head out on the fire truck with the help of some firemen. Ever since he witnessed that he asked and asked and asked when Santa was coming to our house. I should have known that our population has grown quite a bit compared to our first experience so it would take longer to go through all the subdivisions to see everybody. Two years ago Santa came by around ten. This time as we waited and waited listening to the sirens everywhere else but in front of our house, Santa finally showed up at around 1:00. The lights, the sirens, and the firemen announcing that Santa is coming was so good to finally hear and see. Now, it was freezing cold and snowing off and on so we couldn't get our pictures taken with Santa, whom I'm sure was very cold and ready to be done, so we waved, ran and got our goody bags, and watched Kenner smile from ear to ear with the satisfaction that he just saw Santa Claus on a FIRE TRUCK. His two favorite things combined in one. What a magical day!
