One of my favorite things that Kenner does is this little game that I call "Mom, What Can I Be?" He doesn't know that I call it that because it's not really a game to him. At LEAST five times a day Kenner will come up to me and ask "Mom, what can I be?" and I have to start naming some ideas even though he already has an idea in his head. So, this is how it goes.
Kenner: "Mom, what can I be?"
Mom: "I don't know, a dragon?"
Kenner: "No"
Mom: "a worm?"
Kenner: "No"
Mom: "a snake?"
Kenner: "No"
Mom: "an alligator, a puma, an elephant, a giraffe"
You get the picture. Then he decides to give me a hint.
Kenner: "It has fur all around his face and his body." He does the motion to show you.
Mom: "A LION"
Kenner: "Yup, ROAR!!!"
Like I said, this happens at least five times a day, usually more, but it never gets old. Even though most of the time he's a lion, it changes periodically and it's the best to see the "guess" come to life.

Mr. Stubbs
Kenner was given a movie titled "Toby Tyler" from "Red" Grandma for Christmas. We decided to watch it together the other day while Kameron was napping. The movie is about a young orphan boy who lives with his aunt and uncle and decides to runaway to join the Circus. He made some friends in the Circus, but his best friend becomes Mr. Stubbs, a chimpanzee. Anyway, Kenner was drawn to this movie. After all, the boy is friends with a real live monkey. Towards the end of the movie Toby Tyler decides to leave the Circus and help his aunt and uncle not knowing that Mr. Stubbs was following him. To make a long summary short, Mr. Stubbs was running away from a hunter's dog and ran up a tree. While in the tree the hunter shoots and Mr. Stubbs falls to the ground lifeless. Traumatic, I know. As Toby Tyler is forced to leave Mr. Stubbs Kenner looks at me with huge teary eyes and starts bawling. He kept telling me that he was just so tired, but I know he was sad for Mr. Stubbs.
Mr. Stubbs didn't die. The hunter helped him get better and returned him to Toby Tyler and they all lived happily ever after. Kenner quickly became not tired, but quite happy. And from this day on, his toy monkey that Santa brought him is now called Mr. Stubbs.
