Only five days old Jasmine had her first photo shoot in our home.

Jasmine Jean
Jasmine Jean Bartlett joined our family on September 16, 2010. And this is how the story goes...
We were scheduled for an induction for that Thursday morning. Brian and I arrived at the hospital at 7:00 in the morning. With the lack of sleep the night before due to excitement, I was pretty tired to begin with so I knew I had a long day ahead of me. After getting my IV and oxytocin I was ready to roll by 8:45.
Note: I was determined that since this one was a girl, labor would be different and would go a lot faster so I decided I was going to try to go without an epideral. HA!!
I tried to go as long as I could, but darn it, I forgot just how painful it was, and this girl was not coming any faster than I had hoped. At 2:30 I caved. I NEEDED the epideral! Shortly after the epideral kicked in and I was feeling goooood my mom showed up with the boys, which was fabulous because they could help time pass by.
Prior to the birth date we had family members predict when the baby was going to be born and how big she was going to be. By 8:00pm everyone was out of the game, except for Brian. He didn't make his predicition until I had to start pushing (cheater). After going through such a SLOW day our hopes kept getting shot down after the nurse would check me and I had only dilated half a centimeter. That's why we were so surprised that within 15 minutes I went from 6.5 cm. to 8.5 cm.
During the delivery we were all having a good time. As odd as that may sound it is true. The Dr. and nurses were joking with Brian, I was laughing, and it truly was a lot of fun. At 8:21 pm Jasmine Jean was born. She was as healthy as they come. She weighed in at 8lbs. 10oz. and was 20 in. long. She was a good size baby. One of the nurses joked saying the diaper looked like a speedo on her. Anyway, she is here, she is healthy, and she is gorgeous. It is now time to spoil you with her pictures.
